It’s summer. It’s hot. I’m thirsty. For some weird reason, I have been craving sparkling carbonated things. The cravings are so bad, that I’ve had cravings for coke, which is WEIRD because I stopped drinking sodas years ago. Well, I obviously am not going to drink that yuck again, so instead I came up with this awesome stuff. Awesome stuff, I tell ya.

Not only is this made from tons of healthy, yummy fresh fruits, it’s got that wonderful sparkling carbonated fizzy feel and it’s so darn delicious. This will be PERFECT for your summer parties, barbecues or for a much healthier alternative for the kiddos instead of the overly sugar-filled fake fruit punches and juices at the store.

Don’t you just want to dive into the picture and grab a drink?

This Ultimate Sparkling Fruit Punch is super simple to make too, all you do is chill the sparkling water, prepare the fruit, blend and strain the skins, that’s it! You will want to strain it because the grapes leave behind skins.

These drinks would go great at a summer party, barbecue and come to think of it, with my Barbecue Potato Salad too!

Look how fizzy.

My daughter loved this like nobody’s business. She just kept saying yummy over and over. So did I, haha.

I hope you love this Ultimate Sparkling Fruit Punch too! I’d love to hear how it turns out. Drop me a line below, I love hearing the awesome reviews! I’d also love to see your pic on Instagram. Make sure to tag me @thevegan8 and put my hashtag #thevegan8 in  your CAPTION! For some reason, I have been missing many tags from you guys now unless my hashtag is in your caption. I don’t want to miss it. Thanks!

DRINK UP. Hope you all love this Sparkling Fruit Punch!

Sparkling Fruit Punch

Prep Time 10 minutes mins
Course Drinks
Cuisine American, Vegan
Yields 7

Ingredients

  • 1 lb fresh strawberries, stems removed and halved
  • 1/4 cup (44g) fresh blueberries
  • 1/2 cup (90g) fresh black grapes
  • 1/2 cup (120g) freshly squeezed lemon juice
  • 4-6 tablespoons pure maple syrup
  • 4 cups chilled sparkling water (SEE NOTE)

NOTE

  • It is important your sparkling water is chilled for several hours or overnight because if you add it room temperature and then chill the drink afterwards the carbonation will fizz out by the time you serve it. To save time, you can have all your fruit ready the day before and then just add everything a few minutes before serving to your blender when it's all nice and cold.

Instructions

  • Before starting, make sure your sparkling water has chilled for a long time in the fridge (see above note).
  • Wash all your fruit and chop the strawberries and remove stems. Add them along with all the remaining ingredients to a blender and blend until completely smooth. Taste and add any more sweetener if desired. I find this was plenty sweet with 4 heaping tablespoons, but if you are serving it at a party, you may add a little more.
  • Lastly, drain the punch through a fine mesh strainer to catch any skins left behind from the grapes. See above photo in post. It does catch a lot. Pour in a pitcher and over ice if desired and serve. I garnished my glasses with extra fruit.

Yes please! I want to dive in these pictures, not only in one, Brandi! Your pictures are absolutely beautiful as always. It’s always a pleasure the way how you combine the setting! The cloth under your glasses give this composition a rustic flair in contrast to the many vibrant flavors of the fruits. This recipe I can say for sure has all my favorite fruits in it. It is like mind reading my favorites, haha. So I’m in love with those beverages, if you get thirsty and you have such a visual and colorful eyecatcher in your glass then drinking is a lot of fun – more than only in this function to refresh! ☺️

This beats soda AND sugary fruit punch by a mile! I definitely want to dive in, the color is so bright red it brings back many memories of that Hawaiian Punch stuff I used to love. But unlike that stuff this actually has real fruit in it 😀 I don’t put grapes into many juices or smoothies, but I bet they add a lot of natural sweetness, great idea! This would be perfect served over some frozen berry or grape ice cubes too!

Thank you so much Natalie! Yes, I wanted a dark red to it, so that’s why I added both blueberries and grapes and it gave the color I wanted as well as so much flavor! So delicious!!

Looks incredible. I’m the same way during summer – I crave carbonation but haven’t touched sodas (or as we say where I grew up: pop) for 20+ years. I pretty much live on sodium-free seltzer! I love the idea of adding beautiful fresh fruit juice to it.

This looks so refreshing Brandi. I never drink soda, ick! One of my favorite drinks is sparkling water with a splash of lemonade, so I know that I’d like this. 🙂

I’ve been craving fizzy drinks at the moment too – it’s so weird! I keep on craving lemonade lol. I looove a fruit punch, and I’m so glad you’ve shared a healthy version – I’ll definitely have to try this as I’m sure it will sort out those cravings! Such a great idea using sparkling water for the fizz. This looks so tasty, and it has such a beautiful colour. It’s the ultimate summer drink!

“Don’t you just want to dive into the picture and grab a drink?”

    Why, yes. Yes, I do.

In fact, I’d swim in a pool of it if you’d make enough for me. 😉

I have to admit, pop is one of the things that I still struggle with–even after cleaning up my diet. (I gave up dairy with very little problem, but pop has maintained its grip on me for some reason.) I think I love the bubbles more than the taste, so this punch fits the bill! I can’t wait to try it! Have you tried using frozen and thawed fruit? (I’m thinking ahead to winter when the berries won’t be as available.)

Aww thanks so much Nichole!! I’m sure frozen and thawed fruit would work just fine! Might even make it a little icy, which would be super yummy!
