Ingredients

tomato sauce/puree

creamy plant milk (soy, almond, cashew)

pure maple syrup

red wine vinegar

chili powder

smoked paprika

can chickpeas, drained & rinsed

15 ounce
can lentils, drained & rinsed
Instructions
Add the bbq sauce ingredients to a large bowl, whisk well.
Add the chickpeas and lentils to a pan with the barbecue sauce over medium heat.
Once simmering, cover and cook about 5-10 minutes until it has thickened some. Don't over cook it or you will cook all the sauciness away.
Serve over anything you like...rice, in a buddha bowl, etc.
